Earthing or Grounding

Earthing or grounding is important for the safety of people, equipment and the environment (reducing the risk of fires and pollution from fires). An earthing or grounding system provides a low resistive path to fault currents. Technically the electrical earthing system protects from the effects of leakage currents, insulation failures, lightning, short circuit currents and earth fault currents. Aberdare Cables provides earthing conductor products covering the bare or covered stranded and tinned copper conductors; bare or covered discoloured copper clad steel and other material as per SANS, IEC and NRS standards as well as per specific customer requirements.
