State-owned transport company, Transnet, has committed to facilitating economic growth by investing in additional port and rail facilities. As a result, cable manufacturers were invited to tender on various sizes of low voltage (600/1000V) and medium voltage (6.35/11kV) cable for the Transnet Project, Port of Ngqura Container Terminal which is in progress within the Coega Industrial Development zone, 20km south east of Port Elizabeth.
Hatch Africa was awarded the EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Management) contract and Aberdare was pleased to receive the order to supply, deliver and off-load the cable
