Our Commitment To Our People
Aberdare employs approximately 1700 people at factories and branches throughout Southern Africa. This figure represents a full complement of key personnel necessary to sustain the growth of our operation. It includes electrical engineers, administration staff, sales staff, skilled and semi-skilled personnel. The factories follow a philosophy of participative management while overall development and strategy of the group is co-ordinated by the Executive Board. In accordance with the stated objective of developing human resources, Aberdare runs comprehensive education and training programmes to achieve the continuous advancement of our personnel within the company.

Aberdare Cables (Pty) limited is Africa's leading manufacturer of power, telecommunication, control and optical fibre cables. Since our establishment in 1946, we have endeavoured to follow a path of total commitment to product quality and customer care. We believe that it is this path that has allowed us to satisfy the demanding requirements of a diverse range of primary and secondary industries.
It has been this half-century of experience that has enabled us to strive for the continuous development of a sophisticated, yet cost-effective product range - a product that proves particularly innovative in South Africa and other developing nations. To Domestic and International Growth
Our product range is distributed on the domestic market through a network of branches located in all the major centres, and supplemented by appointed agents and distributors in the smaller centres and in international markets. Since the product range and services offered are so diverse, Aberdare Cables (Pty) Limited is broadly divided into autonomous operating Divisions.
