Charles Duna Primary School in New Brighton, Port Elizabeth was the beneficiary of computer equipment donated by Aberdare Cables Standford Road.
The school, where 919 children go each day to learn, has been a special CSI project to the Aberdare site. In the past, Aberdare Standford Road donated funding to build an administration block followed by painting of the school inside and out.
Shortly thereafter, electrification to several class rooms was provided and the Aberdare site also assisted with the establishment of the school’s computer room.
Human Capital Business Partner, Garth Main (Aberdare, Standford Road), said he hoped to see many great things from this initiative. “The school is a special
project and we have ongoing interest to ensure the development of young minds”, remarked Garth.
Garth added that through the project, Aberdare Standford Road hopes to assist the children of Charles Duna Primary School to reach a high academic peak.
What an inspiring effort from the team at Aberdare Standford Road especially at a time when our country is experiencing a serious shortage in skills.
